Ages 7 to 9

United Martial Arts Center prides itself on being the premier martial arts school in the Port Jefferson Station area for young children. We teach our students in this age group the skills they need to succeed, while they learn to protect themselves. Our system and teaching methods are simply life-transforming. This Program is a precursor to our Juniors Program.

This is why we make sure all our Youth Program students learn to stick to whatever they start, and never quit for the wrong reasons. Make no mistake, this is not your garden-variety martial art program, filled with empty creeds and sayings that the students do not take to heart. Shihan Andrew Stigliano and his team of instructors incorporate the ethics, moral integrity and martial art techniques they've gained from decades of training into each and every class. To succeed in life, a child needs to acquire the skills and habits necessary to face difficult challenges, and push through them while staying positive and focused, no matter if they win or lose. It's also important for children to learn how to work and compete with their peers, while maintaining respect for themselves and others.

As they develop their physical skills and learn to trust in their abilities, their self confidence and self esteem will soar. Ultimately, our classes teach children how to hold themselves to a higher standard with both confidence and humility.

Nobody "sits on the bench" in our school!

In many conventional sports there are always some children who do very well, and others who struggle. We have a slogan, “there are no bench warmers in our school.” Every child excels in this program, developing their confidence in the process, so that they will be able to deal with any situation life presents to them.

Our objective is to help each and every child grow in a positive manner, while equipping them with abilities that will help them in school, at home, on the playground, and of course, in situations where they have to stand up for themselves. Our ultimate goal is to help you raise children that are unstoppable.
